Acceptable use
This policy is part of our terms of use. It exists because a tool that removes provenance marks can be misused, and we would rather say plainly where the line is.
What WipeTheAI is for
- Removing metadata and Content Credentials from images you created or are licensed to modify.
- Stripping personal details, such as camera and location data, before you share your own pictures.
- Research into how well image watermarks survive regeneration.
What it is not for
- Presenting an AI-generated image as a real photograph where that would mislead people.
- Getting around a law or platform rule that requires AI content to be labelled, such as the transparency duties of the EU AI Act.
- Images you have no right to modify, including other people’s work and pictures of people without their consent.
- Fake evidence, impersonation, fraud, or harassment.
- Anything illegal, including sexual content involving minors.
- Running automated traffic or multiple identities to get around the daily or hourly limits.
If something breaks this policy
We may refuse a job, block access, and delete the images involved. If you see WipeTheAI output being used to mislead, tell us at [email protected].
