Remove the AI prompt and workflow from PNG images
AUTOMATIC1111 saves your prompt, negative prompt, seed and model names inside every PNG, and ComfyUI saves the whole node graph. Drop the images in and get copies with that text gone and the picture untouched.

PNG, plus JPG and WebP. As many as you like, no sign-up.
What comes off
Every text entry in the PNG, where AUTOMATIC1111 and ComfyUI keep the prompt, settings and workflow, plus EXIF, XMP and Content Credentials. In JPG and WebP files the prompt sits in EXIF, which comes off too.
What stays
Every pixel, byte for byte, with the colour profile and transparency. Because the picture isn’t touched, an invisible watermark such as SynthID, if there is one, stays in it. Social apps also add their own “AI info” labels when you post, and no file edit changes those.
Nothing is uploaded. To see what a file says first, use Is this image AI? The Wipe tool also disrupts invisible watermarks in the pixels.

Several steps, or a whole batch? Chain this with other tools in a Workflow and run them in one go.
Every text entry comes off
The tool doesn’t look for known names only: every text entry in the PNG goes, plain or compressed, whatever it’s called. In ComfyUI’s own example images the workflow alone was 3.4 to 16 KB of text, and it can hold the file names of pictures you loaded.
The picture is copied, not saved again
The image data is copied byte for byte, and the colour and transparency settings stay. On 24 September 2026 we cleaned 15 public AI PNGs with prompt text, from ComfyUI’s examples and Wikimedia Commons: every one decoded to exactly the same pixels as before.
Keep your original
The prompt text is what lets you, or anyone, load the same settings again. Keep the original for yourself and share the cleaned copy. An invisible watermark in the pixels, if the generator added one, stays either way.
Your files stay with you
The images are processed on your own device. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is stored, and you don’t need an account. Close the tab and they’re gone.

The exact chunks and EXIF fields, the off switches, and what our remover took out of 15 real files.
- What each AI image generator puts in its files
Seven generators in one sourced table, plus the three we could not source.

A byte-level test of four ways to strip AI metadata, and why our own tool is not the pick for metadata alone.
