Crop a LinkedIn cover image to 1584 × 396

LinkedIn’s cover is a 4:1 strip, so most photos lose their top and bottom. Pick which strip stays before LinkedIn picks for you.

Size and limits

LinkedIn Help recommends 1584 × 396 pixels for the cover image on a profile, as a JPG or PNG under 8 MB. It also says the cover can look different depending on the size of the window it is seen in, so keep anything that matters away from the edges.

If it looks blurry

LinkedIn’s own advice for a blurry cover is to upload a larger file, and it notes photos look better than images of logos. Save at quality 90 or above; the result is still far below the 8 MB limit.

The round photo in front

For your profile photo, use the profile picture maker. LinkedIn accepts anything from 400 × 400 to 7680 × 4320 pixels, up to 8 MB.
