Crop a YouTube channel banner, safe area included

The outlined box on the crop is the part of your banner every device shows. Keep your name and logo inside it, and let the rest fill big screens.

The safe area

YouTube Help gives a minimum upload of 2048 × 1152 and, at that size, a safe area of 1235 × 338 in the middle for text and logos. The rest of the banner fills larger screens and is cropped away on some views and devices, so anything that must be read belongs inside the box.

Size and file limit

YouTube recommends 2560 × 1440, especially for TV, and a file of 6 MB or less. It also asks for no added shadows, borders or frames.

Your pictures stay with you

Everything happens on your own device. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is stored, and you don’t need an account. Close the tab and it’s all gone.
