Pick a colour from an image

Add a picture and click the spot you want. The magnifier shows the pixels under your pointer, so you get the colour you aimed at and not its neighbour.

JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF or SVG. Screenshots work well.

Add an image, then click any pixel to get its HEX, RGB and HSL values.

Why a colour can look slightly off

Photos and JPG files blend neighbouring pixels, so one spot on a “flat” red can be a few values away from the next. Pick from the middle of an area, not its edge. For a brand colour, a PNG or SVG of the logo gives the exact value; a JPG of it usually doesn’t.

Keyboard use

Tab to the picture, move the crosshair with the arrow keys (hold Shift for steps of ten pixels) and press Enter to pick. Picked colours stay in a row under the values until you add another image.
