Expect bigger files
PNG stores every pixel exactly, so a photo converted from JPG usually comes out several times larger. It won’t look sharper either: the detail a JPG dropped when it was saved doesn’t come back. Convert when a site or app asks for PNG, or before editing that you’ll save many times.
Your files stay with you
The images are processed on your own device. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is stored, and you don’t need an account. Close the tab and they’re gone.
