Which sizes to tick

16, 32 and 48 pixels cover browser tabs, bookmarks and the Windows taskbar. Add 256 for a desktop shortcut or an app’s own icon. Every size you add makes the file bigger, so leave out the ones you don’t need.

Sharp small sizes

Each size is scaled down from your image on its own, not from the next size up. An SVG is drawn fresh at every size, which keeps 16 pixel icons as crisp as they can be. For a site’s full set, with the Apple and Android icons, use the favicon generator instead.

Your files stay with you

Everything happens on your own device. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is stored, and you don’t need an account. Close the tab and it’s gone.
