Convert ICO to PNG

An ICO file usually holds the same icon at several sizes. Drop one in to see them all, then save the size you need or every one of them.

Why one file gives several PNGs

An icon file is a small bundle: one picture per size, sometimes the same size twice at different colour depths. Windows and browsers pick the size that fits. Each one comes out as its own PNG, named by its size.

Older icons

Older icons store bitmaps with a separate see-through mask instead of PNG. Both are read, and the mask becomes proper transparency in the PNG. Icons stored as PNG inside the file are copied out exactly, without being saved again.

Your files stay with you

Everything happens on your own device. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is stored, and you don’t need an account. Close the tab and it’s gone.
